MSNI’s SmartInBox Product is typically used for known deliverable email addresses that a client needs to breath more performance into.

SmartInBox is NOT a Flat File. It’s comprised of the Negative Feedback we receive from our Zagdat Technology of approximate 1.6 Billion Gross Emails “Daily”. The SmartInBox process consists of several processes. (Note. Our SmartVerify Service is now included with our SmartInBox Service and vice versa for the same price). The new combined service is called
SmartValidate.

We first determine if a domain is valid or not with the major ISP’s. Known Feedback Loop Complaints, Age Traps (An email address that has not opened up or clicked on an email for the last 3-6 months), Typo Traps etc… Below is an example of some typo traps of Hot Mail we would pick up in our scrub process.

Typically if you don’t get rid of the typo traps, in this situation Hot Mail will regulate for example how fast your Emails can be transmitted. The second time you transmit you will probably be blocked. The difference between MSNI and a typical scrub service is the scrub service is not doing any emailing for correction. The true scrub competition doesn’t email anything at all. However, MSNI continuously hones its scrub file for external customers utilizing intelligence it is gathering from actual email campaigns. In addition, MSNI is able to update known “real-time” spam tramps using it’s SmartVerify Service. (At an additional nominal fee)

The reason for your response increase using SmartInBox is that we are getting rid of email addresses that are “Not Engaged” and the ISP’s are penalizing you for that. Meaning, you are sending emails to individuals that are not doing anything with email messages they receive. They are not opening or clicking on emails and are “Not Engaged”.  In other words, your email may start going to the junk folder if you don’t get rid of those email addresses. It’s the difference of pulling a 5%, 9% or even a 15% open rate using your same marketing and transmission platforms. 

The non-engaged email addresses are also continuously being updated based on our 1.6 billion gross cookie hits/transactions we receive daily and 57 billion per month from our Zagdat Technology covering 98% of the backbone of the internet. 

If using another prior scrub service, the client would only provide MSNI with the “KNOWN” good email addresses based on their scrub/validation reports. This would “not” apply to UNKNOWN email addresses from a deliver-ability point of view. Our SmartVerify process can be used to verify those UNKNOWN email addresses before using our SmartInBox process.

The SmartInBox scrub works for firms who know their email is deliverable but their open rates are suffering. They are either getting blocked, kicked off a network or their open rates are low. We challenge you to give us a file (5,000 records as an example) that is pulling a low open rate and we’ll give you back a file with a 98 to 99% deliver-ability rate and a large increase in your open rates.
